(BOWLING GREEN, Ky.) The Warren Central Dragons (18-4) hosted the Bowling Green Purples (19-4) in the most highly anticipated 14th district matchup of the season.

The Dragons were led by Ant McAfee and Karaun Johnson, both with 13 points. Braylon Banks was head honcho for the Purples with 15 points.

The first quarter featured some of the sloppiest basketball for both teams all season. Bodies flying all over the court kept it a close one, but the Purples were on the cusp of a run.

Bowling Green proceeded to extend their lead in the second with two huge threes from Jace Wardlow. The home crowd was eerily quiet going into the half.

The third quarter was a completely different story. A Jarek Kirk block in the first minute ignited his teammates and the patiently-waiting student section. Warren Central looked like a new team after a 15-0 run led by Senior Ant McAfee brought them within 4.

The final quarter of play saw the Dragons outscore the Purples 18-8. After an improbable shooters roll 3 from Dominique Anthony and some desperation fouls from Bowling Green, this one would fall in the Dragons favor 55-49.

Warren Central moves to 19-4 while Bowling Green drops to 19-5. The Dragons next game is tomorrow night against Glasgow, and the Purples travel to McCracken County tomorrow afternoon.
