LADY PURPLES DEFEAT THE LADY SPARTANS 44-28

(Bowling Green, KY) — The Bowling Green Lady Purples took on their rivals at home in the South Warren Lady Spartans. It was clear from the get go that Aniyah Smith was going to run the court. She led her team with 22 points,and 7 rebounds and 7 blocks. At the half South Warren’s offense was clearly outmatched by the Bowling Green defense only scoring 13 points at the half compared to the Bowling Green 22. The total blocks came out to a whopping 9 from the Purples. Although the Spartans fought hard in the second half with a notable performance from McClain Hudson who had 8 points and hit a couple three’s to soften the blow. Ultimately the Purples came out on top with the final score being 44 to 28. Bowlings Green still sits at the top of District 14 with a now 5-0 record. South Warren moves to 2-3 in District 13.
