WKU Nursing Students Plan
WKU campus is officially shut down for the rest of the semester. Students have started to move out of their dorms and are now moving home.
For some Students staying here is the only option. The current nursing students are the ones being put in this difficult situation due to the clinical hours
Each student will attend the hospital once a week and spend the day there caring for patients. With all classes going online this has had some students worried. Junior Lainey Ward will be staying close by campus to finish out her year but said they are taking the protocalls needed to keep everyone in the hospital and students safe.
“lecture classes were moved online but we still have to go into the hospital once a week for our clinical. And they told us that they are going to go ahead and check our temperature when we walk in to clear us to go to our floor and go up and continue like we have been this whole semester”
Having these extra steps in place is leaving students and parents less to worry about.
WKU has now cancelled graduation and decided to change the grading system to better help students in this difficult time.
