Human trafficking is the action or practice of illegally transporting people from one country or area to another for the purposes of forced labor or sexual exploitation.

According to the International Labour Organization, more than 40 million people around the world are victims of human trafficking.

Phoenix Rising, an organization in Bowling Green, is working to educate the community and help former victims of trafficking.
